My Vision

Envisioning a Unified District 8 in Lexington: Building a community where safety, inclusivity, and access to essential services are not just ideals but realities. My commitment to transparency and compassion drives a future where every resident has equal opportunities to thrive. Together, we will address challenges with open hearts and minds, ensuring every voice contributes to a stronger, united Lexington.

  • Regular Community Meetings: Hosting bi-monthly town halls to listen and directly respond to your concerns, ensuring your voice shapes our community.
  • Open Office Hours: Holding weekly open office hours for any resident to discuss their concerns, ideas, or suggestions for our district.
  • Community Feedback Platforms: Launching digital platforms for residents to submit feedback and ideas, ensuring even the busiest or most remote members can be heard.

Key Initiatives

Reinvesting Your Taxes back into Your Community

  • Objective: Reinvest my entire $36,000 Councilman salary back into the community each year.
  • Method: Utilizing the funds either directly or through a non-profit organization.
  • Impact: Strengthen community programs and support local needs.

Enhancing Public Transportation in Lexington

  • Objective: Assess and optimize the locations of bus stops for accessibility.
  • Method: Conduct studies to identify underserved areas and optimize bus stop placements.
  • Impact: Ensure all residents have easy access to public transportation.

Improving Pedestrian Safety

  • Crosswalk Visibility Projects: Employing high-visibility painting and reflective materials for crosswalks, especially in high-traffic and school zones.
  • Pedestrian Signage: Adding clear, visible signage to alert drivers of pedestrian crossings and implementing pedestrian priority signals at busy intersections.

Addressing Speeding – Lexington 40517

  • Strategic Speed Bumps: Installing speed bumps in areas with high pedestrian traffic, near schools, and in residential neighborhoods where speeding is prevalent.
  • Community Speed Watch: Establishing a volunteer-based community speed watch program to monitor speeding and report violations to local law enforcement.
